Sani Tripathi

Sani Tripathi is a PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering with more than a decade of research experience spanning Yale University, Vanderbilt University and the National Cancer Institute. His research focuses on developing advanced optical imaging technologies for skin cancer detection and improving access to care in resource-limited settings. He has authored five publications and presented his work at more than 25 conferences and scientific meetings. He is an NSF Graduate Research Fellow and an NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award Fellow in Imaging Science and Information. 

Beyond research, Sani has experience across consulting, venture capital and technology commercialization. He most recently worked in corporate strategy at Abbott and has advised startups through UT Austin’s Brumley Institute for Graduate Entrepreneurship. He has also completed consulting projects for clients including Thermo Fisher Scientific and Goodwill NY/NJ and supported technology commercialization through Texas Health Catalyst and the Austin Technology Incubator. As a Venture Fellow at DigitalDx Ventures, he evaluated emerging diagnostic startups. Sani hopes to pursue a career in life sciences strategy and business development, utilizing his scientific expertise to solve complex healthcare problems.
