PhD Cadidate, Curriculum and Instruction
Molly C. Marek, M.Ed. is a doctoral candidate in the department of Curriculum and Instruction at UT Austin. Her research focuses on elementary teacher education, inter- and transdisciplinary learning, disciplinary literacies and supporting educators’ critical navigation of instructional materials (including AI generated materials). Recent work has focused on how elementary teachers and teacher educators reach toward humanizing, culturally sustaining pedagogies while contending with curricular realities resulting from shifts in educational policy. Her work has been published in the Journal of Teacher Education, Literacy Research: Theory, Method, and Practice and English Education.
