Mariana Rios Nava is the Graduate Global Impact Consultant at the Office of Career and Life Design, where she supports programming and resource development for international graduate students and postdoctoral scholars.
She is pursuing a PhD in Counseling Psychology at the College of Education, where she is passionate about doing research and community work with a focus on bilingual and multicultural services within the clinical setting. Her research background focuses on qualitative approaches to various public health concerns. Currently, she conducts research through the global AMPATH program in Mexico. Previously, she was a peer-health promoter, with a foundation in Community Based Participatory Research. She is passionate about the development of bilingual, evidence-based and culturally relevant interventions.
Originally from Queretaro, Mexico and an avid traveller, she is committed to fostering a global perspective in every facet of her life. She received her B.A. in psychology with a focus on human development and family studies from The University of Alabama.
