Mansi Shah is a PhD candidate specializing in health communication, digital media and advertising. Her work focuses on how marginalized communities navigate stigma and access health information in digital spaces. She integrates theories from social psychology, media studies and public health to explore the role of technology and culture in shaping inclusive communication. 

Mansi’s research has been published in Journal of Health Communication, Prevention Science, and Journal of American College Health. Her ongoing projects explore bias in medical records, health discourse on social media platforms like Reddit, and the role of humor in reducing mental health stigma. As an instructor, she is committed to fostering inclusive, student-centered learning environments that bridge theory and practice. At UT, she teaches Advertising and Pop Culture, where she incorporates diverse perspectives, media literacy and real-world applications. Her teaching emphasizes ethical communication, strategic creativity and the use of digital tools.
