Proof of Concept Intern, Discovery to Impact
Keerthana (Keerthi) Stanley is a 4th year PhD student in the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences. As a researcher in Dr. Jun Wang's Speech Disorders and Technology Lab, Keerthi uses neuroimaging methods (e.g. MEG, sEEG) to study motor speech processing in the brain, with a focus on brain-computer interfaces (speech-BCI). She also has interests in speech acoustics and linguistics, and she enjoys guest lecturing and TAing for courses such as Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and Speech Science. Keerthi plans to pursue an interdisciplinary career that prioritizes both research and pedagogy, and aims to use neuroimaging to improve speech and language technologies.
