Katie Bradford works with graduate students and postdoctoral scholars to connect their educational background to their next life step in the professional work world. She designs and delivers workshops focused on career and professional development.
Trained in scholarly publishing, Katie is a professional editor; she has collaborated with authors on their scholarly manuscripts and developed college textbooks for Pearson Education. Dr. Bradford teaches undergraduate courses in communication theory and practice for the Department of Communication Studies at UT Austin. She holds a B.A. in English (UT Austin), an M.A. in English Linguistics (Arizona State University) and a Ph.D. in Communication Studies (UT Austin). Bradford’s research focus is the analysis of video-recorded interaction to explain the integration of smartphones into face-to-face conversations.
