John Walkington is an economist whose interests include program evaluation, causal inference methods and applied statistics for the social sciences. After graduating with an MA in Economics from UT Austin in 2022, he joined the Demand Side Analytics (DSA) team. In his three years at DSA he has worked on a variety of projects, including gas system long-term planning to comply with New York’s statewide decarbonization policies, the evaluation of an income-qualified deep energy savings program by Pacific Gas and Electric, and the writing of a methodological framework for evaluating daily load shifting programs under Pennsylvania’s energy efficiency law.
