Graduate Archival and Historical Assistant, Texas Performing Arts
Jeremy Boorum is a third-year PhD student in the Department of American Studies at The University of Texas at Austin. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Marketing and American Studies from Elmira College and a master’s degree in American Studies from Pennsylvania State University. His academic work uses research-creation methods to think about the relationships between LGBTQ+ historical narratives, archives, and contemporary drama and performance. Whether through university teaching, archives, or arts/non-profit organizations, Jeremy hopes to build a career using performance to help people tell their stories and explore their creativity.
