
Social Justice Research Analyst, Sol to Soul Harvest Foundation
Eliane Quintiliano Nascimento is a PhD student in African and African Diaspora Studies at The University of Texas at Austin. She holds an MA in African and African Diaspora Studies from UT Austin as well as MA, BA, and Licentiate degrees in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Espírito Santo in Brazil.
Her research explores the intersections of Black feminist thought, racial capitalism and economic sociology, with a particular focus on Afro-Brazilian women’s entrepreneurship and economies of discrimination. Eliane is committed to producing engaged, community-based scholarship and bridging academic research with public impact. She has received several competitive fellowships and grants, including: Provost’s Graduate Excellence Fellowship, IUPRA Summer Research Grants, UT Austin Graduate School Summer Fellowship, Tide Setubal Foundation's Summer Research Award, LASSO Scholarship, and professional development awards from the Warfield Center and AADS Department. She seeks to collaborate with institutions that prioritize equity, inclusion and culturally responsive approaches.
