PhD Student, Geography and the Environment

Dalia Vazquez is a first-generation Latina Ph.D. graduate student from Dallas, Texas, in the Department of Geography and the Environment at UT Austin. Her research focuses on community water governance in Puebla, Mexico, with particular attention to the volcanic regions of El Pico de Orizaba and El Popocatépetl. She explores the socio-political and physical dimensions of water scarcity and extractivism.
