Conor is Vice President, Engineering at Microsoft in the Azure Data organization. Conor earned a B.S. Computer Science at UT Austin in 1996 and later a M.S. Computer Science at the University of Washington in Seattle.  He has worked at Microsoft for 28 years building database engines including SQL Server, Azure SQL Database and Fabric Data Warehouse (Microsoft's scale-out analytics SQL engine).   

He is the author of a number of peer-reviewed papers on database implementation at academic conferences such as SIGMOD and VLDB. Currently, he works on building next-generation database technologies for Microsoft. Conor also serves as the Microsoft Austin Engineering Site Leader and represents the engineering community for Microsoft in Austin.
