Derek Bolser received his Ph.D. in Marine Science from UT Austin in 2021. He is currently working as the National Fishery-Independent Survey Science Coordinator at NOAA Fisheries, where he aims to optimize fishery-independent survey (i.e., standardized field data acquisition) resources through strategic planning, facilitating coordination between programs and supporting the implementation of next-generation estimation and sampling methods.
