Learn tips for achieving common grad school milestones, such as conference presentations, publishing, internships and mentorship in a format specifically designed for First-Gen grad students.
This interactive workshop will be divided into two parts: First, student will self-reflect and consider what they really want to achieve during grad school beyond the degree. Next, students will discuss their personal goals with their peers.
The second part of the session will focus on strategies for achieving those goals. We will go over tips for achieving some of the most common grad school milestones, such as conference presentations, publishing, internships, and mentorship.
Anyone whose parents did not attend grad school in the US is considered a first-gen grad student.
