Are you a graduate student or postdoc managing one or more chronic illness(es)?

This interactive workshop series will help you discover practical strategies to reduce the extra “communication work” – that draining process of constantly explaining health issues, negotiating accommodations, and coordinating medical tasks.

Plus, complete both days + three short surveys for a chance to win one of twenty $50 Amazon gift cards!

Day 2 (with Dr. Karly Quaack): Discussion & Activities

  1. Interactive Breakouts: Participate in small-group activities to brainstorm solutions for everyday communication challenges – like boundary-setting, disclosing your illness, and advocating for yourself in academic/professional settings.
  2. Skill-Building Exercises: Practice scenario-based dialogues and team up with peers to share resources and tips.
  3. Next Steps: Develop a short personal “action plan” for how you’ll apply workshop takeaways in your research, teaching, or lab work.
