Christine received her PhD in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin (2009-2017), specializing in political sociology, international migration, race/ethnicity, gender/sexuality, and political economy. Her work focuses on the intersections of policy, community development, international migration, and climate refugees. She has published widely on topics such as global poverty, undocumented migrants, human rights, and the social impacts of restrictive immigration laws.
